Christ there are some idiots on here, we have enough problems at work without having to read this. Onto the so called agreement : a measly 9% and maybe a lumpy £1,000 doesn't do anything for me. Make the rounds doable, stick to the uso if poss, give me the enjoyment back 😂 Relentless unwanted change, upsetting both workers and customers alike, if you want a 5 day letters week then go and do it - maybe preferable to some.
Personally I'm ok with a 5 day USO - its an unusual situation where the only ones who want it are the CWU and the government. Most posties, the general public and R.M don't want it - that's my impression anyway
Posties would still work Saturdays and maybe Sundays with a 5 day USO. It would just mean more job losses and less hours.

The USO in the UK is six says, in the EU it is five days

It depends on the country.
Most set their delivery requirements independently.
Dave Ward spoke about innovative new services in the local community that were being explored.
They said if a deal was done they would delve deeper into these ideas.
This will help keep the USO in place if they are credible.
Ideally keeping the six days of the best outcome.
Starve off job cuts and expand the business.

Even though I am no Michael Douglas and flattered, this unwanted sexual attraction and stalking Cedar- Room has for me, it is now borderline pathological obsession.

Might I suggest you seek professional counselling or even a cold shower to curtail those pent-up frustrations? Will do you a world of good?
Oh that’s cute, you think I’m in love with you? :left:

Sorry Filthy Len/Keith - I remember your profile pic from when you were causing chaos & spouting nonsense all over the RM groups on Facebook, definitely NOT my type :left:

Good banter though - keep it up :left:

Any idea when the agreement will be published so we can have a read and digest the contents before considering our options and casting our votes accordingly. :cuppa
Tomorrow apparently, once the Executive Committe have finished discussing it.

So probably a week next Friday or summat. "Join us CWU Live for the most important update in our history!"
IT WILL BE A PIVOTAL MOMENT :thumbup

Newspapers reporting Simon Thompson will probably be 'let go' and his name won't be on any deal.
It says the Union and RM have a 'mutual understanding'
I'm pretty sure the Union would of probably said if we do agree a deal it would be on the understanding the CEO doesn't carry the business forward.
Then again it's probably paper talk.

While he is at the helm relations between the company and its staff will never be able to be repaired. To be honest though I doubt they ever will be.

You are ruining a valid thread please stop this childish bullying and harassment. It is not welcome and is dangerous for the forum. Is your vendetta more important than getting information out to people and having an adult conversation?

This is the issue. You seem to think it is banter.

By your own admission, it is personal with you and so-called anti union trolls.

Royal Mail employees are currently on the sick and left the job with mental health issues caused by continued bullying and harassment that cause such things as marital breakdown, substance abuse and self harm.

You condemn it at work but have no compulsion to inflict misery on others on an internet forum

You are a union thug cast off from the 1970s and no pace in a modern trade union

You are going on ignore,I politely suggest you do the same to me

It’s an internet forum for grown ups to talk about postal work - a job that you have pretended to preform, but actually don’t

You have attempted to cause chaos on here for months by undermining the CWU & various other bits & pieces including creating multiple accounts, yet the minute you are given a taste of your own medicine (non-abusive) you resort to verbal abuse & pretend to care about your (non-existent) colleagues & their MH issues

Your last post has been reported for name calling. I’ll leave you to your own little fantasy world but my work is done. We see you. We know who you are. I’ll bid you good day, :wave :wave :wave

Maybe but let's hope it's true . Simon Thompson has done Royal Mail a lot of damage .

Be good to see him leave but I won’t be celebrating too much. The board will bring another c**t in to bring in the shite changes that the “agreement” will allow. It will be all smiles and “new approach” for a few months with whoever the new ceo is then around next April/May there will be rumours of RM walking back on parts of the agreement and the whole s**t cycle will start again. Let’s hope we boot Ward and the gang and have some competent people running the union by that point.

If this was an official CWU Forum maybe you would have a point, however it's not.

Although I'm a union man the CWU have made a catalogue of errors in this dispute. The Union leadership has at times been embarrassing to listen to. However,I've got Dave Ward on a TV interview telling the audience that Royal Mail want to abandon the am delivery period - let's hope that this is not the case
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

This isn’t a union forum. It is absolutely fine to be critical of the CWU, especially if you are paying your subs.
