No show of simon over the past couple of weeks. Hes been a bit quiet so strikes will go ahead.

Maybe he's got other things on his mind like if the share price keeps on falling, after xmas he can buy some more on the cheap and then screw us over. That's the type of person he is unfortunately.

Maybe I'm giving the company too much credit here but I'm sure they would of kept a little back knowing the the no strings side will be a massive sway.They will find it if they need to.Its of course a negotiating position like the other things.

I'd be happy with that as well. I'm loving these 3 or 4 day weeks and just doing what I can within my hours with no pressure. I'll be gutted when they stop

So you obviously not worried about the reduced take home pay then ? You loving it so much you'd be happy and could easily get by on 19k pa ? No cost of living crisis in your household then ?

£15k for me after deductions. Is it a struggle? A bit. My wife is on £12k net, a very small combined income. I count the pennies, I’ve cut back on luxuries, shopped around for the best deals.

But I’m happier, healthier and more content with my lot, even compared to when I was rushing round doing all the hours my line manager could throw at me when I was earning £32k. I have more time and energy to see family and pursue my hobbies.

Combined with me ‘quiet quitting’ and I’m much more stress free, have a bit more energy and don’t get as wound up at work by everything. Clock in on time, do as instructed, take breaks, clock out.

As always, I completely understand other’s situations will differ.

Unless there is serious headway at the negotiating table 23rd and 24th must go ahead. Seriously disappointed after ratcheting up the strike action and making the company take notice there are no planned IA dates for the 28th and 29th. We all know that there is huge backlog that we will be coming into during Christmas week, surely the pressure must be maintained. Or else what's the point?

We all know on here we are weeks behind on letters and parcels which are not tracked or specials are failing big time. Thing is this could have been sorted but ST did not want that he wanted to wage a war on posties and we are where we are!

Ill be honest its surprising how much money people waste on shite,ive cancelled sky ,the football is shite anyway,cancelled my netflix and spotify, netflix has got shite ,music i listen to the radio for free,stopped the takeaways,ive saved myself £ 60 a week easy ,the striking and covid have definitely made me think a little more about life not money ,its time to get back to the 70's and introduce the 3 day week,that'll stick growth up the tories ass.

But it's personal choice if people want that crap. Just because you're an old bloke who's passed his sell by date whe whole world doesn't have to retire to a home. The young people who pay to get your nappy changed still have to work today to pay for it. I remember Sundays when nothing opened at all. And you seriously think people will accept that to-day lol. Let's face it. If some people had to work 3 days a week theyd be upset with the increased hours. The boomers are telling the kids now they got their houses and pensions that money isn't important ha ha. The only thing covid did was create a country of alcoholics who depleted their pensions at 55. When they reach state pension age and find out it's not enough to live one they'll expect younger people on a 3 day week to fund them

Don't even let these chumps in charge think that we would take a step backward in agreeing to call off the last strikes this year, they have offered us nothing but contempt, now we move on with more concentrated industrial action including work to rule and of course at last an overdue overtime ban, stay strong and get all available members on the picket lines next week

If they want that crap thats upto them ,but dont moan when they are on strike and cant afford it,the state pension is quite reasonable as a couple its £360 per week,if you can't live on that there must be something wrong with you,by the way im not a boomer my pension is shite the boomers retired 10 years ago,take a look what your royal mail pension is worth now compared to 10 years ago,if they dont like striking and want more money they'd best find another job ,because if they don't strike and stay here they will be working longer hours in shite conditions with less pay,its a choice like i said.

If the changes are introduced without a fight, they will take it as a green light to go much further, it's better to fight now and lose a little than no fight and lose even bigger, it's important to look at the bigger picture not this week, the fact they have refused to negotiate is because they want to see how strong our resolve is, right now it's willy waving and posturing, we will eventually come to a negotiation, it's both of our best interest to do so, if VESA ever get a controlling stake the board including Thompson will all get sacked and VESA will bring in their own people.
