Had droves of managers in our office today and yesterday on a jolly. Going out in cars with bags of mail.
Yes great day out for them, especially when they are being paid £1000 to break the strike, as well as their £30 and hour for delivering post with no time pressure plus the extra 20% once they shaft us in the new year.
Makes me sick.
Although would have thought once Thompson f****d us they will be next.
Oh and they took out the small packets out the frame and left them before taking out the mail!

Delivered parcels today that had 28/11 and 30/11 on the labels. Had a 1st class recorded sent from the next town that would have gone through the same MC dated 11/12.

There was that guff about how anything posted before December 16th would be delivered as part of our 'Christmas Promise' so I imagine anything posted after that is just being stored somewhere

I didn't realise RM have employed the spin doctor, AKA Alistair Campbell!

I'd be interested in the following:-

1. How much warehousing/ storage they've hired, and at what cost.
2. How much the total bill will be for payouts to customers for lost/delayed items.
3. If ST still has a job come the middle of January.

I would bet none of these will come out in the end of year accounts.

Our DO looks like a bomb site still, all the "absorption" walks are still not covered and littered with mail, small packets and tracked. Managers all in a sulk this morning as loads of their usual agency staff have said they aren't available Christmas eve
