Prioritising of items

Apparently RM are telling the press / public prioritising of mail, packets, etc etc isn’t happening… ha !! Is this a joke we’ve probably been doing it for the last 24 months ( even before covid ) Mail on walks ( mine including ) haven’t gone out for 5 days some duties longer because we are constantly told to concentrate on tracked, normal packets and to leave the mail. My walk and the paired duty it’s with have in total of 1300 drops between them and the frames are absolutely brimming with mail..!!
Safe too say IA is working.

Maybe we as individuals can all do our bit & report it anonymously
to the regulator (ofcom), local MPs, local newspaper etc. Include discreetly taken photos as evidence. It's time to expose the truth of what is actually happening & expose the lies & fraudulent practices of Thompson & his 'Team'

My MP is a Tory he has no interest in workers rights,hopefully in 2 years these scumbags will be history and hopefully disappear into history.

I was told today to do tracked for both sides and leave mail as I said I’m finishing on my time as I have no partner who’s been n holiday, back on Monday you can then clear both sides then, I just laughed and said no chance were working our hours only! He is already stressed and said to prioritize tracked then any loops you can do as his boss has told him to prioritize tracked first!

Manager had us round and told us if you can't take everything your priorities are: Specials, tracked, oversized, undersized, D2D and then letters, if you have to leave anything leave the letters but not in the frame, leave them underneath.

If you try and report issues to ofcom they refer you back to RM
All other complaints ie tv etc they deal with
WHY are they being paid off by rm

Report them to local mp councillors all adds pressure wether they listen is another matter

You can't report things anonymously to MPs because they want your name, address and other contact details in order to be sure that you are their constituent. Even if you write to a government or shadow minister, they will usually refer you back to your local MP as that is the person who is supposed to be your representative. No-one takes anonymous communications seriously. I've done this before and got nowhere, including contacting newspapers and specific journalists. The best MP to try might be Jonathon Reynolds - the shadow minister for business - who has already written to Grant Shapps about RM. He ought to be interested as it could all be Labour's problem in two years' time.

I wonder if it's written anywhere that managers are to prioritise tracks or it's the spoken word of management so they get their bonuses. Could do with a whistle blower showing a photo or screenshot of an email or letter.

It's all greed.... all in it for themselves. When they are supposed to provide a universal service, not prioritise their own products.

Send letters to Ofcom, bombard them on twitter or other social media sites - let them know.


We all know our own post for our own houses gets delayed because of this. Our own mail has been sitting in a frame for days upon days whilst managers prioritise tracked. It's a joke.

I do. I don’t want to lose my job though! Yeah I have a copy of an email from a area manager declaring the letters should be left and parcels have priority due to health and safety. Tbf i can sort of see their point as in a small office it could be impossible or move if they don’t get cleared, but people are missing hospital appointments and important solicitor letters etc because people are buying sh*t

Yes, they don't want letters leaving in the frames because they are then deemed as having been processed then failed.
If they are left in trays or yorks they report them as late arrivals from the mail centre, which obviously they weren't.

We had a stupid system of bagging it up and taking it all out even though it was definitely going to be coming back, just so we could record the office as clear. The posties all dropped the bags at the frames then went home.
Next morning, they would have the posties throw the mail back into the frames before beginning that current days prep. Absolute joke.

Then, they decided to send the posties out with yesterday's dropped bags at 8 am next morning with as many parcels as they could manage.
When they got back in the afternoon, that day's mail was all left on a york, the frame was left empty.

"Don't touch it, prep that tomorrow with the rest of the mail" said the managers.

That next day would be be spent prepping for 3 or 4 hours because of the double amount. The posties would take it all out again and bring more back than ever because they only had time to deliver a small amount.

Brain dead system, all to appear like we had a clear frame policy in place.

It is wilful delay if you haven’t informed anyone. We’ve had two fired from our office for doing similarly.
