So what odds that strikes go ahead? If its 8/13 on they will be called off then the odds that they go ahead should be about 5/1. I would have a big nibble at that.

If the odds are 8/13 about strike being called off, then the odds on it going ahead are 13/8.
I would be filling my boots at that price, let alone 5/1.
No bookmaker is going to offer you 8/13 and 5/1 in a two horse book....the under round would be 79%.

Why would ever trust any of our so called leaders ever again i must admit i was one of the few that actually loved their job how quickly my view has changed i now feel very bitter towards royal mail the days of me caring have gone.

I used to wonder what was worse than a Union Member who made NO attempt to even strike for one day ... Now I've found out:
A Union Member who has been a Strike Breaker for every single strike day .... and now intends to take further advantage of the situation, and take that extended Christmas Weekend.

I wish the Union had the authority to Order them onto the picket line for those two days, but I know they haven't. What's the excuse going to be this time, "Oh I suddenly got a conscience and felt the need to support my fellow Union Members"

The very fact of withdrawing ones labour is enough for me that is a strike a picket line done it before one or twice six of us all about 13 years ago. You cannot say anything or shout and the cops were frequenting the area and that was 13 years ago!
This whole dispute will not be won on a picket line but around a table we need people who did not attend the meetings at ACAS to be present to gain a meaningful agreement.
The facts that have come to light in recent days should embolden us all they have the money/capital to end this dispute it is in their own hands but I know they will not as it suits them to drive the share price down!

At this stage we would be silly to believe people who have been generally dishonest, lied and twisted everything so far. If they want to negotiate or propose changes they need to go through the union and we decide by a ballot if we accept it or not. Collectively we are strong.

We need to get over this bit......they didn't "break" the agreements, they followed through on the agreement that if national IA was called then they could serve notice. That is what has happened. Neither the CWU or RM have come out of this well.
