Re: 500 Lump Sum and 900 Minimum Escrow Payment Confirmed
I left the buisness on the 5 August and only received the £500, when I contacted them, they told me I was not entitled to the £900 because I handed my notice in before the 4th of August, although everyone who was in post on the 4th of August was entitled to all the payments. not true. ROYAL MAIL AGAIN, CAN'T GET ANYTHING RIGHT.

Re: 500 Lump Sum and 900 Minimum Escrow Payment Confirmed
Just read this off the payroll site.Who will be eligible for the payment?
Employees must have been employed on 26 March 2023 to qualify for the escrow payment
(qualifying period). If you joined RM after 26 March 2023 you are not entitled to a payment.
To receive the lump sum employees will need to be employed by Royal Mail on 4 August
2023– payment date being 29 September 2023 (for both weekly and monthly paid
employees)
Part time employees will receive a prorated payment
Part time employees’ overtime up to full time hours is not contractual and will not be taken
into account when pro rating
Employees having received VR between 26 March 2023 and 29 September 2023 are not
entitled to the payment
Employees on a career break / sabbatical – will not be eligible for the payment in
September 2023 but can request the payment if / when they return to work
Employees on long term sickness / on maternity leave or other planned absence are eligible
for payment based upon their contracted.

People on precautionary suspension have also had the payment withheld, we believe RM have no right to. The qualifying criteria was only that staff should have been emoloyed on 4th August. This payment has been deferred from then. The CWU have contacted HR in this regard and there should be some statement issued to clarify.

Just imagine those 400 reps and members that were sacked/suspended not receiving this payment. That's likely to be over £400k!! Small potatoes to a company that is allegedly losing £1 million a day though.......Woody Guthrie wrote: ↑28 Sep 2023, 15:54People on precautionary suspension have also had the payment withheld, we believe RM have no right to.
