RMSS RELAY CONTRACT WIN

The department have been informed today by Royal Mail Specialist Services (RMSS) that they have been successful in winning a contract they were bidding for with the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), this is in addition to a recently won contract with HMRC.

This contract win is great news, will assist in providing stability for our members within RMSS and also has the potential to grow the business going forward, which will support the future job security of our members.

Branches and representatives will be aware that RMSS have historically operated in the financial services sector, which is highly competitive. The current trends in this market are being down dialed due to less reliance on banks to securely move documents due to the introduction of new technology. This has led to RMSS exploring and expanding into other markets.

The new DWP contract will go live from April 2019 and the department will continue to work with RMSS to deliver this commitment, with activity commencing imminently.
