Four Pillars Pay Arrangements & Back Pay

Further to LTB 193/18, attached for the information of Branches is a communication issued today by the business, the content of which is self-explanatory.

We understand that members will be disappointed at the length of time they will have to wait to receive their back pay, however, the circumstances in respect of the implementation of the pay award and associated pension arrangements are complex which we are sure members will appreciate.

We thank you for your understanding and patience in respect of this matter.

The increase and arrears cover:
• The date for implementation of the pay increase for CWUgrade colleagues has been confirmed • From October 2017 to March 2019, eligible colleagues will receive a 5% increase in pay • Payment will be made in week commencing 30 April • We are implementing the pay rise and backdated pay as quickly as possible. This is taking slightly longer than usual as we have had to make other systems changes to payroll including the changes to deliver the transitional arrangements for our pension plans
Weekly-paid colleagues will receive their pay increase week commencing 30 April. Monthly-paid colleagues will receive their increase in April salaries, paid on 30 April. The pay increase is backdated to October 2017. Eligible colleagues will receive all backdated pay at the same time

What about people who were employed during the back pay period but have now left the buisness can't seem to get an answer for this.

Figured out as £20 a week. 30 weeks.....£600. This sound about right? That’s not including overtime payments etc....

For National full time Rate it works out £20.61 per week plus a further £1.19 for those delivery staff in receipt of the delivery supplement , for processing and collection staff they will receive a 46 pence increase in their supplement per week and RDC staff 63 pence per week in their supplement.

If there's a pay rise why are jobs still advertised at starting at £9.51? Surely new starters will start on the higher rate?
