A big turn out will tend towards rejection of a deal. A small turnout will, in my opinion, tend towards acceptance.

We'll see what the PEC recommends but if they do support the deal it's very unlikely the members will reject the deal.
In order to reject a deal you have to believe that the same negotiators that believe in this deal are going to walk back into the negotiations and tell Royal Mail it isn't good enough, then you have to believe that Royal Mail would be prepared to give more, then you would have to believe that the members would be prepared to strike if they didn't, then you would have to believe that Royal Mail would cave in to pressure.

That's a lot of belief.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

The top union bosses seem pretty reasonable guys and don't look the type to sell out. If they think it's a good deal then I believe many posties will agree with them.

Any one seen what's happened to carillion? Some of it sounds too familiar.
I'm hoping this deal can get us out the black hole that's been made by bad investments ECT.
None of which is our fault the blame should lie with r/m and we shouldn't have to pay for their mistakes really.

The devil,as is so often the case in these matters ,is in the detail,we shall see. I am however, willing to be persuaded away from my pessimistic view point of total capitulation, but let's see the goods first.

Nobody knows what the deal is. Just wondered why people are talking of rejecting it without knowing what it is

It better be a good or this union is finished for far too long have past agreements been miss interpenetrated or fell short of the aspirations of the membership but time will tell but I bet we will not get the full details just an overview of bullet points of x% and x hour's and your pensions are safe and the future is OKish for now!
