Standby for utter capitulation, dressed up as some momentous victory, however, we haven't voted on it yet not that matters particularly,or am I just a world weary cynic.

It's not going to be utter capitulation.rubberbond wrote:Standby for utter capitulation, dressed up as some momentous victory, however, we haven't voted on it yet not that matters particularly,or am I just a world weary cynic.
It's not going to be perfect.
It's going to be a compromise.
That's how this works.

Undoubtedly,it seems to be however, that most of the compromising comes from this side, after all the bravado that came with the huge vote in favour of strike action and constant "briefings", of the past few months , a golden opportunity for real change in the culture of the organisation that is RM,has been wasted. I might be wrong, but we'll see. In two years time we will be back where we started, history repeats itself, first as tragedy and then as farce ,I don't know which stage we are at.fishtank wrote:It's not going to be utter capitulation.rubberbond wrote:Standby for utter capitulation, dressed up as some momentous victory, however, we haven't voted on it yet not that matters particularly,or am I just a world weary cynic.

What ever side your on,whatever the deal is,it has to be affordable.
It’s not good having any deal that puts the company at risk in the long term for the vast amount of staff.
Good if it’s a large increase and your close to retirement

What worries me is that we're looking at a two year pay deal after nearly a year has passed, that means we'll be looking for another deal in 15 months time.In two years time we will be back where we started,
I would rather see a 3 year pay deal at the expense of some back pay than start looking for another deal around the time Brexit starts to kick in.
