LTB 166/11 - Courses attracting paid release in RM

No. 166/11
Ref
Date: 18th February 2011

To all Postal Branches

Dear Colleague,

List of CWU courses attracting paid release from Royal Mail Group

Branches will be aware of LTB 1025/2010 regarding the roll out of the e-admin process within Royal Mail.

For clarity, I attach for your information the list of courses which attract paid / unpaid release within Royal Mail Group.

This information is outlined within the embedded document.

Further to this, the mandatory one-day Equality and Diversity course should continue to attract paid release.

Branches should note that reasonable notice should be provided to management when requesting release to attend courses. We trust that this LTB and attachment provides Branches with the necessary information with regard to the issue of release for training, but any further enquiries regarding this matter can be addressed to Lee Wakeman, lwakeman@cwu.org, Education and Training Department Tel: 020 8971 7441.

Yours sincerely,

Trish Lavelle
Head of Education and Training

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
