Dear Colleague
Union Leave Application Process in RM Letters
As part of the Business Transformation 2010 and Beyond Agreement we made a commitment to introduce a new Union release/unpaid billing process and we are now in the position of being able to launch this new process across Royal Mail letter site (including Logistic). Please note that these arrangements do not apply to POL or PFWW.
Branches will wish to know that extensive talks have taken place between the SDGS/DGS (P) Department and Royal Mail over the last few months, which have resulted in an agreed change to the process for Union Leave Application Forms. Attached to the LTB is supporting documentation to assist Branches in the introduction of the revised Union Leave Application process. This includes copies of Royal Mail's communication, agreed presentation (slides) and a copy of the User Guide.
Any enquiries regarding the IR issues should be directed to the DGS (P) Dept. Any enquiries regarding the revised central billing arrangements should be directed to the SDGS Dept.
Yours sincerely
Dave Ward Tony Kearns
Deputy General Secretary (P) Senior Deputy General Secretary
