That's not the story at my place. The wagon delivering our second sequence does indeed get out earlier. However he has had a new DO drop added to his route so now gets to our DO at the same time. It's a saving for the MC and puts more pressure onto the DOs.
Probably a double saving, less drivers needed so they save on driver and shift allowances and potentially no early shift staff needed for sequencing or walk sort so they save on TPM allowances there.

The CSS removals are probably from MPUs with some getting relocated to MCs (that is if they've got the room) and some getting mothballed.

I've not heard anything yet as to what changes to arrivals into MCs on night shifts will be made (if any) with Network 19 but if they push arrivals into MCs later then dispatches to DOs will have to be pushed back later by the same amount
