The staffing level at the RDC I work . We have a core staff of full timers. Overtime is available & Agency workers are constantly used.

I was taken on in 2013 (having been used 2 years with agency) along with 50 others over 3 shifts on P.T. & F.T. contracts.
Also in 2013 another intake of 26 employees were taken on.
Again in Oct/Nov 2016 another intake of 71 were employed on a 6 month temporary rolling contract - since reduced to 1 month rolling.
On the early shift alone we have lost an estimated 250 hours, new starters & existing staff, since January 2017 due to various reasons.
I have never understood why staff hours are not replaced immediately & Agency staff are continually used as a resource.

For that to happen RM will need to replace all their existing machines. There's no scope for increasing automation with the existing machines.

We've seen reduction in the working week agreements before. It's the same as moving offices with extra travel time supposedly to be added to duties. It never ever happens. You will be expected to do the same work in the reduced hours or time available.
