Well I'm getting on a bit but I have always subscribed to the charity begins at home brigade. We aren't the third worlds financial crutch: as long as I can remember there has been money sent to the third world for at least 60 years and more. As a primary school pupil I remember being given envelopes to take home for the Vincent De Paul society for money for the poor and here we are over 60 years later still shelling out. What amazes me is that India is still on the charity pay roll even though they have a space programme and we can't afford it.

That is because of their inequality of their society but fair point that parts of England will be like India soon if not already by this government!

In this order.

Germany
France
Italy
The European Central Bank ( of which we are not a member or contributor)
The International Monetary Fund.
Various foreign private investment banks.

Anybody outside the European Monetary Fund (us) were protected and after 2016 are even more protected from a bailout default of a member state.

The daily mail made a fuss about a supposed £1bn contribution we were "forced" to make but the truth is we were given a collateral guarantee so in effect we paid nothing and risked nothing.

Yes we are, and are obviously still members after a Brexit vote, international being the clue, nothing to do with the EU.

Do you want to leave that too?, be careful what you wish for though, we needed them in 1976 to bail us out of a hole and the way things seem to be progressing we might need them again.

You remainers seem to be obsessed with the 70s, 1976 was 40 years ago, the world has moved on, unfortunately not all nations have coped with the modern world and apparently some members of modern nations haven't either.
