Pay rise %

Post by FirstPost »

Will the deal be a % over years or more than likely a lump sum?

DK has said he is so pleased with getting the company for such a small price that all employees this year will not get a percentage pay rise..... But a cash bonus of 50p 🙈.

Within 2 to 3 years our wage increases will be announced by the government when the minimum wage overtakes what we get paid!

I’m sure I read that they want a deal over 2 or 3 years.

Be around 3%. The union will claim this is some sort of mammoth achievement even though that figure is pretty standard in many other industries. We will then be flogged to death under the new USO system and and gaslight into oblivion that delivering double mail is “reducing fatigue”

At least then we wouldn’t have to agree to more strings than an orchestra in return for a 2% pay rise and would t have to wait for talks to conclude some time in October each year. Small mercies.

I would say immediately for this year. I have no inside knowledge I’m just guessing as Martin Walsh has said they want above inflation payrise which currently sits at around 2.6% so we shouldn’t get our hopes up for anything groundbreaking.

Would be nice if it’s 5% for this year to cover council tax increase, strange how pay rises are linked to inflation but councils just go for max allowed :arrrghhh
