EV's have to be as cheap and convenient as ICE vehicles otherwise nobody will want them.
There's no point trying to replace things that work with inferior and expensive products.

As to solutions for homes - here is an idea. Make use of all the vacant properties in cities like London, that are owned but never lived in. Last I read over 80,000 in London alone. There is a start.

How do you propose go about it ? Are you intending to seize private property without compensation ? How will the compensation money be funded ? 80,000 houses won't even touch the sides, not all of these properties are habitable, they're also somebody else's homes not yours to give away,

I said it before, 4.3 million new homes are needed to accomodate everybody today at current levels which is likely to go up even higher by the time they're built, if ever.

Then we can have fixed rent agreements with landlords so rent is affordable. Get rid of no fault evictions. Then we can make homes easier to buy for young people by raising their wages and making mortgages actually affordable. Even immigrants could get a foot on the ladder.

How do you propose to raise their wages ? Who's wages ? How will it be funded ? How do you enforce lower mortgages ? Why do immigrants have to get a foot on the ladder before young British people ?

What if landlords refuse to accept rent capping and withdraw their property from the rental market reducing stocks in the market even further pushing up the rent, what if all landlords decides it's not worth it anymore and withdraw completely from the market ? Houses would still be unaffordable even if they sell it or refuse to sell it because of capital gains tax implications and acute housing shortages.

The problem you are having is you approach every issue from the wrong angle. It is understandable though - as I said, you have been conditioned by all the rich media, to only think of rich people when it comes to solving problems. “Oh no, what will the poor landlords do?”, oh no what will those poor London-based property investors do?”. They want you to think these problems are unsolvable, because it benefits them. It is working, as I mentioned before, because you continue to think poor people are the problem and not them, which is why you repeat the mantra you are being fed.

I’ve answered the question multiple times now. You seem to not believe that these answers are possible, because you are terrified of upsetting the rich people that you think you are somehow relevant to and believe you can aspire to become.

I apologise for not responding sooner, as apparently working on a Saturday is exclusive to me, but I have enjoyed watching the racist reform party real-time meltdown today. Farage has been forced to drop the more extreme racists in his party, and has cancelled his BBC interviews tomorrow. It is always amusing to see how those on the furthest right of the political spectrum are the biggest ‘snowflakes’ of all.
