Will coronavirus absences be discounted from the normal attendance procedure or will your line manager who will decide to discount this absence or weather to issue you a stage .

Up to your line manager now. think it all depends on how many absences you have had due to the virus.

Depends when the absence was!

In addition, any Covid-related absences which start on or after 1 March 2022, may count towards Royal Mail’s attendance procedure.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I wonder what will happen when people are getting Covid 3 or more times a year?

I have had covid since Saturday (first time) and it's totally wiped me out. I feel a bit fraudulent not turning up for work and when I spoke to dom he said I should come in and can do other jobs instead of my usual round. Problem is I'm finding it a struggle to do anything without getting out of breath and I've only just broken the fever from Saturday. Any thoughts about when I should go back in to work?

Unfortunately not. It’s ment to be at the manager’s discretion apparently, but we all know how that usually ends up.
