Callers Office / Customer Service Points - Face Coverings?

Post by goneaway »

Until now, staff working in the cage / locker serving customers haven't had to wear face coverings, despite the requirement that customers do so. However, will this now be required as from tomorrow (Thursday 24/9), when shop staff will be required to wear a face covering, which they have been exempted from previously? Or will we not be required to, in situations where we serve through a glass shutter / screen?

It is now mandatory for employees who work in CSPs to wear a face covering, Face asks remain available through line managers. You can ensure you always have good stock of face masks and other protective equipment available by keeping your Additional Supplies Register (ASR) app up to date.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Thanks for this Postman, it looks like the guidance was only updated today. I thought this would be the case.

Just on a related point, is there any way of downloading previous versions of the Questions & Answers pdf, to see what changes have been made along the way, i.e. the current version is Version 57 - anyway I can see Version 56, for example?

Unfortunately covidiots will exploit the following loophole as an excuse not to wear a facemask:

Exemptions
Those who have an age, health or disability reason for not wearing a face covering should not be routinely asked to give any written evidence of this.

Some people may feel more comfortable showing something that says they do not have to wear a face covering. This could be in the form of an exemption card, badge or even a home-made sign.

This is a personal choice and is not necessary in law.

I wasn't refering to you, k979aaa.

It was covidiots in general. Like those who show a disregard to protecting themselves and those around them, or those who believe in conspiracy theories. :Very Happy
