POSTMAN EDIT: Have taken the post (Changed the post author to me) over as it was originally edited by the post starter and is a good running thread and too good to delete.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

to right and thats my opinion as well , the last straw for me is the company just throwing in van share and still no fight back , and then they take the piss by just telling members not to do it, subs well spent thenpostieblueshirt wrote:The union are done no power in my opinion there will never be another strike.i saved up extra cash for the last two I'm not bothering this time.

Other than the thread title "Strike" and the first comment asking whether the "CWU are deliberately stalling on a strike vote".Woody Guthrie wrote:There isn't a single comment calling for a strike.2yearpostie wrote:Why is everyone on here so determined to have a strike?

It's a question.
Do we really need to go off topic to do basic English comprehension lessons.
Wouldn't the question look exactly the same?

What if the OP wanted the union to stall, what if he didn't want a strike? Are the CWU deliberately stalling on another strike vote to help Royal Fail get through Xmas ?

Can't see that getting past a court either. Don't forget you've got things like covid test kits, etc going through the system, any work to rule would potentially affect that stuffworktotime wrote:so if that was or is the case then , could they not ballot for a work to rule ? i dont think that would get anywhere near a court.noggin1969 wrote:They'd not get a strike pasted the courts during Covid anyway.

It’s voluntary, your not being forced to do anything.worktotime wrote:so if that was or is the case then , could they not ballot for a work to rule ? i dont think that would get anywhere near a court.noggin1969 wrote:They'd not get a strike pasted the courts during Covid anyway.

Do you really think that in the middle of world wide pandemic where Royal Mail are delivering Covid Test kits , PPE , medical supplies and where the government have introduced emergency legislation that there is any chance whatsoever that we would legally be able to be balloted let alone take action ! Get real. If the reason Royal Mail got an injunction in 2019 was on the basis of the general election the pandemic dwarfs that.
