The court granted an injunction to prevent a national postal strike — the first in a decade — before next month’s general election and Christmas.

What were the main issues in this case?

We challenged the legality of the Communications Workers Union’s ballot process on the basis that it had improperly interfered with the ballot, breached the duty to ensure ballot papers were sent to members’ home addresses and it had not allowed a secret ballot. The injunction was vital as a strike may have affected postal voting in the general election.

He might have done us a favour in the long term, no strike at Christmas or election, public on our side now.

Use the Christmas period to build funds for yourself.

When January comes and if there is a re-ballot - hit the bastards hard. We don't need Christmas to decide our futures.

Hell Yeah they abrogated the last agreement of 2017 which by and large called for an end to bullying and harassment a SWW and talks with the union of the future all of which they RM have BROKEN by their own volition for it is they whom the blame should sit with!

The problem now is RM is a prime candidate to be a "gig economy" Company. After all most if not all the Competition are in that bracket.
Interesting quote from the Employer in the last brief " we will have the best terms and conditions in the industry".
Not the same as keeping the T&Cs your on now.

The Union has too get its next step exactly right. Another shambles and.......

A footnote too this I was thinking about the 80s/90s and what a great Public Service we were.

just like the politicians/CEO's/royal family/etc.etc.......................VILE, STINKING, ROTTEN LIARS.....it's always about the coin and they will cut you down to preserve theirs...

They are not 'elite'; unless having a black heart is considered superior in terms of ability or qualities to the rest of society. This country requires a new way forward and if you vote for change you may just live to see some irreversible shift in wealth and power - but that is down to the masses.

CWU held back for now, but on the rise AGAIN. SOLIDARITY IS OUR STRENGTH. We will not be moved.
