Re: Revision
I too would to know if we should reject going along with changes we are in dispute about.scoobydo79 wrote: ↑05 Jan 2023, 20:17Looks like My office has a review and re -sign coming. What’s the union stance? Do We comply or refuse to sign for duties ?
SISO via the PDA is now something they are insisting on, which is clocking in and out by the back door, and now it is something they want all to do, whereas before it was only about half that signed a sheet when they arrived for work.

Re: Revision
It’s an interesting question. I’m pretty certain that even if an office was unified in not picking duties in a re-sign the revision would still be implemented and duties would just be allocated by management who would probably prefer it that way anyway.
In all likelihood even if the union leadership instructed or advised it’s members not to take part in any re-signs resulting from these revisions lots of people would just ignore them and pick a duty and do what’s best for themselves. You only have to look at what happened with the VR preference exercise where the union asked the membership not to engage with it because it hadn’t been agreed and it still ended up oversubscribed.

Re: Revision
Its beyond a joke when this sort of thing happens. So many times we get called together for some money saving announcement and you feel like youre in some sort of bizarre dream, because we ALL know that it will last at the very most a week. The managers ALL know this too.daveyeff wrote: ↑11 Jan 2023, 18:11well they pulled 260 hours out of our office on monday for their lapsing plan and Com put up the list of streets to take out, and they stopped all earlies and overtime, and no extended was to be booked. he,s put the overtime back on and pulled the lapsing plan today. 2 f***ing days ha.![]()
Likewise no ghosting, no taking vans home, its just so odd and annoying and disrespectful the way our COM says these things as if theyre going to happen when we ALL know its nonsense!!!

Re: Revision
waste of time if he does. its either being brought back or left in. they told us to do the lapsing first, but it still backfired because we just brought some of the normal duty back. Com is saying to us in the middle of the floor he's getting this from his gaffers and according to him he's told them its not doable. but they are insisting on it, so in actual fact they are insisting on failing the duty/lapsing. which makes you wonder if this is their intention, so they get the uso scrapped?

Re: Revision
This is what I have suspected all along. Wonder if they have calculated that having the USO removed, rather than them refusing to honour it, is cheaper in fines.daveyeff wrote: ↑12 Jan 2023, 11:46waste of time if he does. its either being brought back or left in. they told us to do the lapsing first, but it still backfired because we just brought some of the normal duty back. Re: Revision
In news today government have said there is no plan to remove the USO. Things are gonna get interesting because the way ST is planning stuff , Royal mail will go bust without removing the USO. That is if OFCOM get their arse into gear and start fining us.

Re: Revision
The proposed revisions for our place have been stuck on the walls for months so that they could be viewed and digested, but surely there needs to be a revision of the revision because the revision didn’t take into account the addition of lumps of absorption being tagged onto walks?
