RMCtv : Planners : What breed are they?

OPG
Is anyone else having problems with the revision planners here in Chester we are being sent down the same streets over and over again. I am now expected to drive down the street I did in one hit four times.
Another one 3 times. And my main estate part of my delivery 8 times. I have rewritten my walk twice but the planner just keeps changing it to how he wants it.
I have been on my walk for 20 years and I know every shortcut possible but he seems to know better. Are these planners being told to ruin Royal Mail?

the planner will not even meet us to discuss why he’s done things that way
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

What's more worrying is why the CWU are not balloting for industrial action on this???? f***ing puzzling me.

This is nothing but a shambles. I now cut off on a daily basis, I've been challenged on it and all I say is "come out and walk test it" which they refuse to do so they can shove it up their arse!
CUT OFF!!!

We had a revision like that after the 2010 agreement.
Nice to see lessons have been learned.
These planners should be sent out to do the duties they’ve made up.

Most of our walks have been chopped up & stuck back on the frames with sellotape how they used to be, trouble is the sequence mail comes in all wrong, it’s a nightmare to chuck in, management not interested :arrrghhh

Route Planner was probably updated with the f**ked up walks and the sequencing batches been updated to that. You need to get Route Planner updated again and then wait for the next time that the sequencing batches get updated

Do the cwu have any say in this.As all I get is do it to the books for 6 weeks then they will review..WHY.Do u really think after all the cost this has caused, change to shifts, office layout ,new fitting for walks, cost of changing labels, machine codes ,plus the cost of the planners.RM have not listened to the staff on how fittings r not equal and walks r all over the place.Lets see we start next week.

We started yesterday and it's been an absolute disgrace. We had to bring a full walk back yesterday so today ( after being accused of laziness despite 100% being one of the fastest hardest working posties in the place ) was told to take out that walk and just packets off the other walk. We were on delivery from 10:00 to 15:30 to complete ONE WALK! Then had to go do all the parcels on the other side. 2.5 hrs overtime just to not actually finish.

I used to do maybe 15k steps on the whole walk over the pandemic per day. Today was 23k and I only did 3 loops of it. I can't believe it's been planned so badly.

I'm already job hunting.

Planners!
Drive up country lane delivering every house on left hand side, turn round, drive back down lane delivering everything on left hand side. Every call now requires walking around the van!
Not allowed to turn right into country lanes, too dangerous to cross flow of traffic.
Not allowed to walk across road, too dangerous.
Deliver one house left side at 11am and the house opposite 2pm on the way back!
The rural I've delivered for 15 years now takes longer, more walking, more driving, customers baffled why I drive by their houses.
I honestly couldn't care less anymore.
