RMCtv : Revisions and sickness

Post by POSTMAN »

Simon 'The data is the data' Thompson

Team - structural revisions & absence - I have just received this from the data science team - what it shows is that at the point of deployment of a structural revision, absence goes up - and the weeks after it goes up even more.
Blue = before - Orange = during - Grey = after

What do you think is going on?
This doesn't happen for table top revisions - we have checked.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Si Si I know the answer. Me sir!

Having been sidelined throughout the revision process by the penpushers and the full time release bods morale in the unit has hit rock bottom and nobody van be arsed to make any effort.
The walks are too long and arduous for an aging workforce and far in excess of what they have been used to.
The stress and mental anguish are enough to make you ill.

Think about it carefully Si
Would you go into work and face a constant battle with an unmanageable workload every day or would you sit at home on the Pat and Mick? Team!

'Data science team' - Jeez!!!

Cut the data science team, employ some extra posties and then they won't have problems to analyze......

Its not good when you have to ask us the answer to a question that you get paid a vast amount of money to find the answer too, now that will be £250,000 please and a large pension and a golden handshake please. Seriously Simon cant work this one out for himself.... lord help us all!!

Apart from the obvious ( more walking involved - inc. so much 'dead walking' because the software doesn't realise you cannot walk through fences, walls etc ), the increased amount of time wasted on prep is ridiculous. The frames now have no easily recognisable patterns as some loops now involve 4/5 different streets, zig-zagging across the road etc. I don't get out until around 1015 now ( at least 30 mins later than before ) to do walks which take 20-30 mins longer than before !

After 2 years of working flat-out during covid and xmas, with the added chaos from the revisions, mind, body and soul are fcked.

I dread waking up most mornings.

You have f****d over your main asset - the workforce and are now amazed that so many are broken.

FUCKWIT !!

Pretty simple really isn't it, the main difference is table top is done by people who know the walks and the office with no useless planner who just goes by what a computer says can be done and ignores anything the people who know the rounds/offices say.
Once you've been ignored and the mess of a revision is brought in you can't be bothered to try and the sort the mess out so just do it as it is and if like us only do 6 out of 12 loops on a quiet day or less on a busy day. Or just go sick and let someone else have a try

its not rocket science is it  , unmanageable dutys , short staffed , managers who couldnt run a bath never mind an office , unrealistic data used for dutys , planners and mangers who dont have a clue and never done a delivery , so what do you expect with the amount of pressure been put on posties and i think we have had enough :wave

I'm waiting for Terry to pop up and say it's because people are scared of change.
