We are very disappointed that CWU has successfully balloted its members for industrial action.
We believe there are no grounds for industrial action. We have honoured and want to honour our Agreements. We are committed to further talks and want to reach resolution.
Our future at risk
Our customers rely on us - even the threat of industrial action is concerning to them. There’s a real risk they will take their business away and not come back.
We have to change to meet our customers’ needs - that’s the only way to sustain the USO and the high quality jobs we offer now.
We have a plan to return to growth, which includes investing around £1.8bn over five years. Industrial action could put our investment at risk.
Our commitments
Our strategy is about meeting customer needs and growing our company, making it stronger in a changing world.
During our transformation journey, we need to work together - at pace. If we do, Royal Mail is making the following commitments to colleagues:
1. There will be job opportunities for all of our people who can and want to work for Royal Mail.
2. We will have a fairer working environment.
3. We will deliver the USO for our country.
4. We will invest in change to ensure a sustainable Royal Mail.
5. We will have the best terms and conditions in our industry.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Two things.
1. Shouldn’t we have those already, if we don’t, then what type of employer are you?
2. If we don’t work together “at pace” will you seriously remove these commitments? Is this a threat?
Finally, why, when RM have shown that they will never honour legally obtained, and hard fought for agreements, when they have proved they will renege on every single agreement they have made, some before the ink has dried, why would anyone take them at their word?

Same old mantra an absolute cliché
No intention of righting any wrongs - you've lost the workforce now get talking to the cwu

Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.

"we have honoured and will continue to honour our agreements"
The reason why the company can't honour the SWW is because they said it was unaffordable - yet they can somehow find £1.8 billion to invest over 5 years.

On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Fairer working environment. You mean we can all go home four hours early once every three weeks without it being recorded. How about a temperature check inside the mail centres Mr Bendover when its only 8 degrees C and your only wearing indoor clothes.

3. We will deliver the USO for our country.
Royal Mail have asked for the USO to be brought forward to make 20,000 workers redundant.
Royal Mail don't want the USO.
