I would argue that you haven't tbh. You have only worked here in the shambolic years.Post_Alone wrote: ↑04 Feb 2021, 16:06I don't see the problem. What company gives you free money for nothing in return. The answer is no company. Been in the job 13 years. Like any job you go into, you work, end of .I have adapted to the changes through the years as I want to keep my job, and I do enjoy it .

I thought I had a contract of employment, I wasn't aware I was a charity case. I get paid wages not free money. What company gives you free money for nothing in return.
You might value your labour cheaply, you might be glad just to be employed. You might feel lucky that someone wants you.
I look at what I'm giving and what I'm receiving in return as well as how I'm treated while I'm providing that service.

It is only till we all delve into this agreement or perchance have it thrust upon us that we shall repent on our ill informed gains and losses!

Congratulations, you also said you work in a small rural office and are unaware of what it is like in bigger offices.Kesknight wrote: ↑04 Feb 2021, 17:29I've worked in a delivery office for 34 years, i've done rurals, walking rounds, never had a problemmjd24 wrote: ↑04 Feb 2021, 16:09What nonsense. This isn't a dig at you, but yes it is different.....very different, which is why this site is so busy.
It can be horrendous at times, and that is no exaggeration, the 'start time finish time' mantra does not wash with many.
Just perhaps understand that it's a different world for some in the business.
And that is not just to you but anybody looking in thinking the same, it's a s**t show in a lot of places, and not many whistle and doff caps on their rounds.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
