I can't see what people have to complain about. You just start on your time and finish on your time. Take your meal break and just do your job at a normal pace, if you can't complete in the time just cut off. Nobody can make you work over your time if you don't want to.

Not everyone wants to go to work and have to fight over workload every day.

I don't see the problem. What company gives you free money for nothing in return. The answer is no company. Been in the job 13 years. Like any job you go into, you work, end of .I have adapted to the changes through the years as I want to keep my job, and I do enjoy it .

I thought I had a contract of employment, I wasn't aware I was a charity case. I get paid wages not free money.

You might value your labour cheaply, you might be glad just to be employed. You might feel lucky that someone wants you.

I look at what I'm giving and what I'm receiving in return as well as how I'm treated while I'm providing that service.

Congratulations, you also said you work in a small rural office and are unaware of what it is like in bigger offices.
This isn't a dig at you, but yes it is different.....very different, which is why this site is so busy.
It can be horrendous at times, and that is no exaggeration, the 'start time finish time' mantra does not wash with many.
Just perhaps understand that it's a different world for some in the business.

And that is not just to you but anybody looking in thinking the same, it's a s**t show in a lot of places, and not many whistle and doff caps on their rounds.
