35 hour working week on same pay would technically be a pay rise, pro rata that is, for all staff 35 hours and less a week :hmmmm
Thats what was promised and agreed years ago by CWU.
.......subject to meeting efficiency savings which were not met.

The pandemic hasn't stopped British Gas workers being balloted for strike action by the GMB: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-55014610

I'm surprised that RM haven't sent out all line managers at every DO out on delivery

The CWU are being played yet again! Should’ve kept the ballot live to put pressure on RM to make an agreement before xmas.

To have kept the ballot live by extending it needed the agreement of both RM and the CWU and there's no way that RM would have ever agreed to it

Letters have plummeted along with door to doors in the office I work at the cwu are doing a fantastic job in my eyes, no compulsory redundancies and maybe a pay rise clocking in and out, overtime if you want it, if people are so unhappy go and find a job that suits you , good look, I have worked for royal mail for 25 years I am 58 and I love it.
Don't know where you work but we are snowed under with letters and had 5x d2d this week. Well done you for enjoying the job though.

Yes Uncle Terry and his mates had a splendid cream tea and he got to use the big swivel chair for any future meetings, in other words f**k all.
Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.

Over the last 35 years I've worked for royal mail there has always been a certain small amount of workers that only turn up for work with one objective and that is to be a pain in the arse and will find any excuse to have a little rant that hopefully (for them) will end up in some sort of unofficial industrial action :arrrghhh the amount of unofficial industrial action that I have witnessed is ridiculous? These individuals have just got the arse with life in general it's just unfortunate they work for royal mail so they probably don't like the fact that there could be an agreement (whatever that may be) because they can't have their time around the brazier with their banners reading socialist worker :cuppa i too think the union is doing a good job :Applause considering the environment we are in and what originally was on the horizon for us! No compulsory redundancies and a pay rise when millions of workers are losing their jobs has to be a positive forward step shorter working week I can probably live without and Ignoring the stupid comments about the union leadership to have talks that last this long just shows to me this cannot be an easy process and also knowing what the higher management are like in royal mail we need to give them some slack and back the union!
