If your right then maybe there could be enough work for everyone that can and want to work for the company but probably only after they’ve let any voluntary redundancy people go and the recent fixed term contract people, just my take on things and could be totally wrong obviously.

I realise some will be frustrated at lack of comms but you can’t negotiate coving the issues in play and communicate at the same time.

All you would do is create is tensions in the talks and make it far more difficult to reach agreement .
I don't buy that.
I think it's lazy and outdated, it belongs somewhere in the 1970s where negotiations were played out like a John le Carré novel and it was all a jolly good wheeze.

There could easily be a joint communication on the basic non specific progress of the talks every two weeks if the egos had allowed.

It's time both parties realised this is 2020.

Absolutely. It comes to something when Your customers know more from their daily paper than You know from Your employers and Union. They both suck the big one.

The issues were contained within the 21 issues which the members balloted on twice , plus the joint statement reached in June which included the £200 Covid payment and obviously what Royal Mail have proposed , some of which I have posted in previous posts.
Can't remember that joint statement but it must have been good,we got a £200 covid payment!

Another weekly bonus payment or a real wage/shorter working week. Heck,we may even get a full hour off of the working week
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.
