I can only repeat as stated in the four pillars agreement;

Well this is not like any other dispute now is it. We, and the whole country stand to lose what little power we have to effect change in the workplace. Given the size of RM and CWU we have a large voice, not just for ourselves, but others also.
As for rm being biggest employer in uk does nhs civil service etc not count.. we have a voice for ourselves i dont personally buy all this nonsense wee all stick together. In our last local walkout we were out for over 2 weeks only mc an 1 large del office in ni backed each other none of the rest give a flying f--k.
Well I should re-phrase and say RM is one of the biggest employers in the UK in the private sector. But it certainly has the biggest strength of Union of ANY other employer.
The issues you had would have been down to a local issue raised as a local ballot. This is what RM are obviously trying to do with their executive action in selected locations.
But it's the national ballot that counts at the moment and where we must stick together to dispute the overarching issues that affect us at local and national level.

Don't think you can say strongest union. Railways by a country mile! When they have a dispute they end up with better conditions not worse but just not as worse as it could have been

I think that the the board are now in it as deep as Rico, so they know that if Rico goes they too will have to go.

I have the same impression of all communications RM have provided around this dispute (video, written and the "ambassador talks"). Every time I see/hear anything from them it reaffirms my yes vote and I initially had an open mind as I do think change is needed. Maybe that's their master plan and they actually want it to get nasty!

After the ballot in 2017 the feedback RM had on their comms was that they were counterproductive and building up resentment among staff.

This led them to change their strategy during the ballot in 2019 and they were almost completely silent. The ballot result was 97% yes so that didn't work either.

They've now flipped once more to hammering us with constant s**t again.

They don't seem to understand the basic problem, if you don't trust your employer it doesn't matter which strategy they use, we're not buying it.

Sorry I will try harder in future, here goes... I look at this video and I think about the mindset of those who commissioned it then I think of those same people sitting in a room with Rico and his expensive team of lawyers and professional negotiators and I am filled to the brim with optimism.

There, does that buy me a ticket on your positivity train?

But seriously, the CWU video for me shows a strength of camaraderie, and the hope of what can be achieved with a collective will. Of course we're the underdogs, and that's what makes it all the more emotive...
