As a part timer, I know what I know from this forum. Few others I speak to have heard of this forum, so they're unaware of the situation.

A rumour from our gate meeting was that the rep said no pay rise for part timers - which is a lie. Based on my experience the cwu make little effort to keep part timers up to date.

Royal mail also tend to make little effort to keep part timers up to date. Workplace learning for example is often done before part timers get there. Important thing to consider though is that only the union will fight to get you more hours. SWW would represent an increase for part-timers yet the company say it's unaffordable.

Seems to be a common theme here. Part timers not informed about anything by both R/M and the union. I'd ask the rep but he is out the door before I get in and gone before I get back. Wouldn't trust anything the DOM or Linos say so like most people I get no info unless I get it off here or work colleagues who Info i don't trust anyway
