What about just the 70,000 or 80,000 who voted for industrial action. It just requires the same effort as putting a X in a box.

Do not underestimate the impact of a symbolic action such as this. Sometimes a single photo, a single action can have a huge impact. I am for industrial action , I am for putting pressure on investors and shareholders, it doesn't have to be one or the other.Getting the funding for Rico's plans may not be as easy if investors and shareholders understand the feelings of the workers.

It's just as easy to RETURN IT , as bin it, so give it a try.

Thats Royal Mail management for you!! I often see managers going up to posties workstations saying "just sign this here" and when we look its usually some b*llocks on health & safety, dangerous dogs, vans etc etc or even people who have not attended WTLL (part-timers the main culprit here). They sign for stuff without even knowing what it is half the time. What would happen if we refuse to sign or we say we will take it home and digest it first before signing anything?

That's brilliant, keep them coming, just reply Return it.

WE are fighting for our jobs , WE are fighting to protect our terms and conditions, WE are fighting to save a great service.

Returning the Courier is a statement (thanks ludite), a very important statement, so go on do a little and achieve a lot.

Score it out and RETURN IT

A judge says I'm wrong to take IA to protect my job and to protect my terms and conditions.

Rico Back says I'm wrong if I expect him to have dialogue with the CWU before he makes one of the biggest business decisions the business has seen in a lifetime.

Royal Mail tells me I'm wrong because I'm not adaptable enough, I'm not flexible enough for the future. Even though in 30 years the only training I have received are videos and box ticking exercises aimed at providing them with insurance cover; and wtl&l sessions instructing me to listen and learn like a child, and not to question anything.

My manager tells me;
I'm wrong if I claim overtime because they have consistently put back our starting times and now I need overtime to deliver specials.
I'm wrong if the van is idling for 5 mins as I sit in the cold eating my lunch.
I'm wrong if the telemetry goes red because I drive on roads with potholes, farm animals and machinery and I have to brake or steer quickly sometimes to miss them.
I'm wrong if my friends wedding is on any day other than my day off.
I'm wrong if I miss one tracked item out of 100 or if I scan a 3d barcode instead of a 2d barcode.

I have had enough, and from now on you can stuff your surveys and questionnaires.
As for YOUR Courier,

DON'T BIN IT
DON'T BURN IT
RETURN IT

I will be joining you in this, I will no longer accept the courier, and shall return it rather than just binning it as I do now. I will also not fill out the surveys, which are supposed to be secret. I Have already stopped signing for wtl sessions that I never get. (they ask me to sign for a sheet of paper, with it on that I do not read)
All, please encourage colleagues to do the same.
