Its simple , Rico Back is advocating more Inequality , hence the reason in many cases over the last 10 years or so , wages and median incomes have stagnated and poverty rates are up. on the flip side his ilk have got richer and richer .
"why should it just be the bankers, politicians and the idle rich who get all the best things ? we demand a standard of living for our members that enables them to share in the fine wines and times that the likes of Cameron and his Eton buddies take for granted " - the late great Bob Crow RIP.

Unite AGS Tony Burke speaks in support of CWU Royal Mail

Speaking in support of an emergency motion on Wednesday (September 11) on the latest Royal Mail dispute, Unite assistant general secretary Tony Burke explained Unite’s stance.

“Unite organises manager and senior staff in Royal Mail and so the CWU’s dispute is one that we in Unite feel we must support,” he said.

“Unite managers and senior staff in Royal Mail have seen threats to our members’ job security and an environment that has seen morale amongst our membership drop to an unprecedented low,” he added.

“You may recall that in 2017 we also made a similar pledge to the CWU as Royal Mail attacked pay and conditions in a continuing race to the bottom.

“That future cannot be built on sand and the weak foundations of privatisation, deregulation and ever more insecure contracting and employment models.”

Burke said that Unite unequivocally supports the fight against privatisation and will continue to support the campaign to defend the Royal Mail and Post Office by “returning them to where they belong in public ownership under a Labour government who are already committed to do it”.

“We are not prepared to stand by and see this attack on the CWU,” he continued. “We will stand with them in this fight back.

“We will stand shoulder to shoulder with them in their fight for the future of this vital public service and the dedicated people who work for it.”

Urging Congress to support the Royal Mail workers in their dispute, he said Unite “is proud to stand with the CWU”.

What last time??
By 'last time' Princess probably meant the last pay rise negotiations. Certainly in our DO the majority view, including that of our Union rep, was that the end result wasn't very good and we had effectively taken a bribe. The majority of staff in our office felt we had capitulated and that we should have taken industrial action to get a better result.
The views I express here are mine alone and do not represent the views of Royal Mail Group.

Princess had her say and at no point in her replies can i see anything about pay rise negotations.. think there was a slight dig at mc staff but that is just my reading of it.

Words of con solidarity by their top rep but will they give their big stick they beat us all with their BONUS which their union negotiated with the Royal Mail for it to be pensionable ie we pay for their pensions. Till this stops nor will the bullying harassment of our members up and down the land. Ps I don't begrudge the working man above me getting his/her due but out of us the poor working man/woman. I see Rico has lots of spare cash he wastes it on RM shares and not invest it in the workers who pay his remuneration of which their have been many!

If the 1 in 6 job losses were to happen then RM would probably have a cull of managers as they might not need so many
