So as I understand it, as from Monday we will revert to a clear office policy with no exceptions. Is that correct?
So when we come in after having Thursday off I will only have Fridays mail to deliver, not Thursday and Friday like it has been for months.

No, Postman, I didn't...as I'd seen the video elsewhere and came here afterwards. Therefore I simply, being a simple man, assumed that that link was just a link to the original video....Today, 13:30
Did you click on the link about an already running thread of the same subject?
Many apologies for not realising it linked to another thread you were utilising to keep the place tidy.
And many thanks for pointing me to said new thread in a manner that could not, in anyway, be construed condescending.
Sooner or later, a beat dog bites.

Im only a casual and not a CWU member, but I watched the video.
Ive seen the comments many contributors here make about these videos and communications. However as a relative outsider with a background in a completely different sector, I found this latest video lacking in its substance. I cant help but feel (and apologies if its stating the obvious), that the Communications Union, should be extremely proficient in communicating.
Taking this latest video on its own for a moment.... to me i found that;
i) The overall message "A Joint statement", didnt seem very clear? There was lots of words and I felt as the receiver of the communication that the real message was not conveyed. On that basis I feel it failed on the the first critical point of RIGHT INFORMATION
ii) Although the word members was used, the commuincation also seemed to not fullfil the RELEVANCE test. Hardly any positives or clear deliverables that are relevant to the current situation.
iii) Lastly, timescale was lacking and this gives the viewers/members the impression that the intended actions are not happening as RAPID as they need to be.
or am I over analysing it?

This is a fairly typical Terry Bullshitter video. slightly less ranty than usual but essentially the same.
A couple of minutes of patronising waffle, a few random soundbites ("jewel in the crown") and about 3 times longer than it needs to be given that it was lacking beyond detail, then ending by being patronising again.
This is a the bloke who went to a meeting in London several months into the first lockdown and issued a video where he rambled on about how there were hardly any people about!! Yes Terry, be out on delivery and you know that - hide in your bathroom making patronising videos and it passes you by.
There is a saying that I first heard years ago which fits quite well to most of his videos - "if you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit".

Royal Mail
failing the workforce, failing the public and deliberately failing mail on a daily basis for too many years.

Looking around our place I would say it’s to late Royal Mail “have lost the dressing room” even the long term posties are now switching on & refusing lapsing & bringing mail back, some are even starting on time & taking breaks
