I don't imagine many offices have more than 5-10% non-drivers.
.
Really? Bit shocked at that. My office is currently 30% non drivers but had no idea what the split is like in other units.
Off hand, out of about 100 employees at my office, I think there's 3 or 4 who don't drive at all(have no licence) and one who can drive but refuses to drive for RM.

Wow, im genuinely surprised.

Every single pairing in my office has a non driver - and a non driver with no license at that.
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

So how soon would these new packet deliveries start? Are we talking weeks, months or years?

Just this proposal alone is a genuine reason for industrial action let alone other ideas liable to emerge such as moving duties an additional hour forwards to reduce wage costs etc. The trouble is the union is weak willed and will capitulate at the first hurdle given past experience. The mail volumes have been considerably down for a while now as well which will be used to beat us into submission. The future isn't rosy.

No one yet knows about what changes will be made with Network 19 but if it involves work arriving at MCs later then night shift attendance times and dispatches to the DOs will get pushed back by the same amount of time that arrivals of mail into the MC get pushed back. DO start times will then get pushed back by the same amount of time

Exactly. We are at six hours maximum now so I don't think we can add any more to current delivery times. Further cost-cutting has to come from other aspects of the business but those options are not pleasant either.

DOMs won't know about these proposals unless readers of this forum let them know or they visit this site. It's all hush hush as per usual.

Our office is out of lease soon, whats the chances of us just getting the whole office merged with another if this happens?

If it's possible to do logistically they will likely do it.

If they gave VR to every 30+ year man/woman that wants it, it would bankrupt the company :chuckle
