LTB 196/22 – Post Office 2021/22 – Official Strike Tuesday 3rd May
No. 196/2022

27th April 2022

Dear Colleagues

POST OFFICE: PAY DISPUTE 2021/22 – OFFICIAL STRIKE TUESDAY 3RD MAY

Further to LTB 180/22 dated 20th April.

Arrangements are well in hand for promoting the Post Office strike planned for Tuesday 3rd May. This includes leaflets, posters and a model press release for Branches to use when engaging with local press and media. Specifically, our Communications Department have designed a number of posters and social media graphics which can be downloaded via the following link:

https://www.cwu.org/post-office-pay-dispute

The model press release is also attached to this LTB and can be adapted for local circumstances. Branches are obviously encouraged to promote the Union’s objective, which is to negotiate a pay agreement for 2021/22. In this respect please see attached a Fact Sheet leaflet which outlines that the cause of the dispute is entirely down to the appalling attitude of Post Office towards its Key Workers. This Fact Sheet has been sent to our members at their places of work.

Further developments will be reported.

Yours sincerely

Andy Furey

Assistant Secretary

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
