Campaigning Against Franchising

Congratulations to the members in Bury St Edmunds Crown Office, Eastern No.4 Branch, who voted unanimously to take strike action in response to the Post Office’s plans to franchise their Crown. The strike action will take place tomorrow, Friday, 13th May from 15:00 until the end of duty that day. The action has been timed to coincide with the public meeting in Bury St Edmunds the same evening. Branches should note the public meeting in Paisley due to take place on Friday 13th May has now been moved to 12.30-2.20pm on Friday 20th May. Mhairi Black MP from the SNP and I will be addressing the Paisley meeting.

Further developments will be reported once the Post Office has advised us of further plans. If you have any questions in relation to this LTB, please contact lsheridan@cwu.org

Yours sincerely
