ADMIN & SUPPLY CHAIN DISPUTE – NEGOTIATORS’ AGREEMENT

Post by TrueBlueTerrier »

LTB 837/14 Post Office: Admin & Supply Chain Dispute Negotiators’ Agreement

No: 837/14
Ref: 601
24th December 2014

TO: ALL BRANCHES WITH POSTAL MEMBERS

Dear Colleagues

POST OFFICE: ADMIN & SUPPLY CHAIN DISPUTE – NEGOTIATORS’ AGREEMENT

Further to LTB 903/14, we can confirm that the Postal Executive will meet on Monday 29th December to take decisions on the proposed settlement to the dispute.

We have also arranged Briefings on the 30th December at CWU Headquarters to explain to our CWU Representatives the background to the Negotiators’ Agreement and our next steps. The Representatives invited to the Briefings have been notified separately of the meeting details (CVIT Unit Representatives will have paid release to attend and the Post Office has agreed to pay for travel expenses for these Representatives).

You will see from the aforementioned that the Postal Executive is committed to carrying out our responsibilities to our members and we are ensuring that appropriate decisions are taken as quickly as possible.

Although we understand that Admin and Supply Chain members will want to know the details of the proposed settlement, until such time as the Postal Executive has concluded their deliberations we are unable to provide these details at this stage.

Further developments will be reported in due course.

Yours sincerely

Andy Furey Dave Ward
Assistant Secretary Deputy General Secretary (P)

LTB 903/14 POST OFFICE: ADMIN & SUPPLY CHAIN DISPUTE

TO: ALL BRANCHES WITH POSTAL MEMBERS

Dear Colleagues

POST OFFICE: ADMIN & SUPPLY CHAIN DISPUTE

Further to yesterday’s LTB 830/14, we can confirm we have reached a Negotiators’ Agreement with the Post Office covering all issues in the Admin and Supply Chain dispute. As a result the Postal Executive has today agreed that there is no requirement to serve notice of the strike action planned for the 30th December, 31st December 2014 and 2nd January 2015.

The Negotiators’ Agreement will now be placed before the Postal Executive at the earliest opportunity. Until such time as the Negotiators’ Agreement is endorsed, the existing industrial action ballot remains legally valid.

A copy of a Joint Statement confirming that a Negotiators’ Agreement has been reached is attached.

Further information will be issued in due course.

Yours sincerely

Andy Furey Dave Ward
Assistant Secretary Deputy General Secretary (P)

JOINT STATEMENT - POST OFFICE: ADMIN & SUPPLY CHAIN DISPUTE

Following further productive talks between the Post Office and the CWU, both parties are pleased to confirm that we have reached a Negotiators’ Agreement on a resolution to all the issues in dispute.

The CWU will now be recommending this agreement to its Postal Executive for approval. Until this point, all details will remain confidential.
