A WOMAN was taken to hospital with a head injury following a robbery at a post office.
It happened in Skinningrove, in east Cleveland, on Monday, at Sheila’s Store in Stone Row.
Cleveland Police said it happened at about 12.30pm, when a suspect entered the store and assaulted a 35-year-old woman before stealing a large amount of cash and making off.
The woman required hospital treatment for a head injury before later being released.
Officers are asking any witnesses to come forward to assist with the investigation.
