
POLICE are hunting for a woman and man after hundreds of Euros were stolen in a distraction theft.
It was said the pair entered the Post Office in Lansdowne Crescent in Bournemouth at around 11am on Thursday, March 6, and requested foreign currency.
When the staff member handed the cash to the woman, it was said she shuffled and counted the money before ‘changing her mind about the transaction’.
She handed the cash back to the worker and left the store however, after further checks it was found around 340 Euros were missing.
It was also reported the man took a phone case from the shop without attempting to pay.
Police constable Alex Ayre, of Bournemouth police, said: “I have continued to investigate this incident and I am now in a position to issue an image of two people we would like to identify as part of my investigation.
“I would urge anyone who recognises them to please make contact with us.”
