Said I "refused" but I wasn't even buzzed

Post by hozza94 »

I have ordered a few items from a website that had been using RM signed-for without any problems, but recently it has become complete and utter chaos, while other couriers managed to deliver as usual. The usual postie usually rings my flat and leaves it within the lobby, so all was good until last week...

The seller packaged the goods into 2 items and sent them through 2nd Class Signed for.

One item was claimed to be signed and delivered, but we didn't have any doorbell from the postman that day while other couriers delivered earlier in the day. By the time we noticed they had "delivered", the item had long disappeared without me knowing where it was left (outside/inside/neighbour/etc). Apparently, the GPS record shows that the postman was at my address but didn't even ring my doorbell :hmmmm

The other item was even more strange, the first time RM said the item was incorrectly addressed, even the sender used the same address as the other item, and it returned to the DO. Then the sender arranged redelivery, which then RM claimed that I "refused" the item but I didn't even see the postman throughout the day. Have they simply gone to the wrong address or having a complete misunderstanding of getting hold of residents in a flat? :arrrghhh

No doorbell was rung by the postman for the last 2 weeks...
DPD/Yodel/Amazon continues to ring as usual...

Is this a "forget it and ask the seller to resend and claim" or "check with DO just in case"?

Hi there.if it was me I would check with your delivery office first.they should go and ask the postman about it who was on the delivery round on those particular days.perhaps the refused parcel was taken to the wrong address,it can happen especially if there's a new postman who isn't familer with the round.
