Hi guys have a problem wondered if you could help.
I sent an expensive item (£490) I sold on eBay via special delivery 1pm yesterday checked tracking this morning for it to say delivery address couldn't be verified and the item was being returned to sender (me).
I have contacted the buyer on eBay to say if they can get down to the Watford office before it gets returned to me they should be able to pick the item up (with proof of purchase) as no red card was left.
How long is it held before being sent back to me i read something like 18 days? Which is a bit silly as I don't want a £500, item sitting in an office for 3 weeks before being returned to me
My worry now is the original tracking shows as being returned to Watford office to be returned to sender. But when I've checked just the tracking now shows as not recognised?
This has me worried can anyone shed some light please thank you

Its working now. It looks like tracking was down sometime today.
If your return address is on the packaging ideally it could be returned tomorrow or Saturday.
The 18 days is for items that have been red carded.
RTS items, though slower than other items of the same mail type (because the service has been provided) are usually returned straight away.
