Post split and moved to customer forum.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

There will be a Manager at Boreham Wood, as there will be in any office. However their job is to manage the mail for the whole area and they usually do not have any staff to specifically answer customer queries. As Postman has suggested it is more official and probably more productive to make queries through the Customer Services Call Centre, although the menu system is very turgid and clunky IMHO its still the best way to solve an issue.
