Hey peeps, hope someone can shed some light on this.
I am wedding photographer and bought a new lens from a photography forum on Monday, seller posted it yesterday via RMSD, provided me with a tracking number and also insured it for full value (£750).
Checked the tracking today and it had reached my local sorting office, High Wycombe South, and was due out for delivery. Checked again about 13.30 and it had changed to delivered at 11.55 signed for by Flare (my company office Name) and the scanned signature was a poor attempt using my name. There were only two people in all day and no delivery was made.
At 14.00 we get a delivery from RMSD handed over, its RMSD addressed to me, I enquire whether I have to sign for it........no was the response???
So what gives???

I don't think we need to spell out the fact that something happened that shouldn't have.
I think you know that yourself...whether you want to take it further is completely up to you.
If you do Customer Services would be your next move.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

If it wasn't delivered until 2pm it would have been a failure.POSTMAN wrote:Why do they do it Fish, why.
If it is "signed for" earlier - it isn't.
Simples.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

no. if was a failure. simply cheating the system by signing the PDA early doesnt take away that the recipient didnt get the service they paid for.
its the premium service
its delivered by 1pm. so people can rely on it
even worse that its a business that would take seconds to deliver to
