Hello, I wonder if anybody could help. I sold a item on ebay (DVD's) and posted it off back in July at the Post Office, using standard parcels. The person hasn't received it and paypal have now refunded them, leaving me with no money from the transaction, loss of postage fees and no DVD's. (DVDs worth £70) I did get a receipt from the post office but I have lost it :(
Is there anything I can do about this as I have no proof of postage? and do the post office have a record of the receipt if I asked for it?
Any help would be great.
Thanks

Re: Help!! Please :)
The PO may have a copy of the receipt but TBH it would be near impossible for them to locate it as each Po will deal with literally 1,000s of receipts each day.
You may be able to get 6 x 1st class stamps as compensation according to the table at http://www2.royalmail.com/customer-serv ... ation-lost" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I would suggest also that you contact customer care on 08457 740 740 and report it as a loss. If you could describe the contents and packing it might turn up at the lost items department (called RLB in Royal Mail) the chances are small but it does happen.
Of course as a RM postman I should suggest that in future you may find our Special Delivery service would be better. It does cost more but it has better compensation and it can be tracked from the PO to the recipient, (its scanned and signed for at every point in its journey)

Thanks for your reply. I might try going into the post office and see what they can do and if they can get a copy of the receipt, if not will give customer care a call. . I have sent items since using recorded delivery and they got there fine. Thanks for your help anyways.

As far as I know there's really know way to get a receipt back up on the computer. It's a problem we get a lot in our branch, but as far as we know it's not possible.hockeyiow wrote:Hello, I wonder if anybody could help.
