last week (15th), I ordered 2 games from SHOPTO, only one parcel arrived next day, the other one is still missing
later on 18th, I bought a game from GAME, the item was delivered 5 days later on the 23rd
then on 21st, I placed another order from GAME, item still missing
yesterday (25th), I bet my luck again and bought another game from GAME, no postie came today
both GAME and SHOPTO use RoyalMail 1st class as delivery option (non trackable)
and I used to reveive my parcels the very next day with no problem
but things started to get absurd ever since this june (in june I can still receive my parcels 2 days later, but not 5 days or more than 1 week)
really frustrated, so any idea what do I expect ? should I blame RM or the postie or ... myself (for using RM)
thanks

As you're probably aware, RM is going through some major changes atm. Whilst it shouldn't affect your orders in this way, many of the posties have found that it really is affecting their customers.
I'm guessing these are all things that would go through your letterbox without any problem? If not your first move would be to contact the local delivery office and see if there's anything there for you. Just in case the red card has been folded inside some leaflets.
Failing that, it will be up to you to contact the companies to tell them you haven't received the items that you ordered, it would then be up to them to claim from RM. Under the DSR it's up to the companies to prove that you have received them. I know it's a pain in the rear, unfortunately these things happen. If too many items are reported for a duty, then RM will investigate the problem.
Who should you blame?
Don't get me started. You could blame the management of RM, you could blame the runners who make the job impossible for the normal posties to do in the allotted time. You could blame the companies for not using a tracked service. Who's to say who's to blame? It's a wee bit like asking how long a bit of string is, in the grand scale of things RM lose very few things but hope that answers a few questions

no postie no letters today, im really starting to get worried about my packages, might be snatched or something else, though they don't cost much, but waiting is torture
this never happened before with my over 50 packages delivered via 1st class (only one exception which took 12 days to get delivered)

How can you blame the Postie, if we don't get them we can't deliver them.Eurogamer wrote:received 3 packages today, only 1 left, thanks to the ... postman ?

It's ALWAYS the postie's fault.dblad wrote:How can you blame the Postie, if we don't get them we can't deliver them.Eurogamer wrote:received 3 packages today, only 1 left, thanks to the ... postman ?

Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
