i ordered an item and stupidily put the wrong postcode (my old house) on the order form, butwith correct address, only thing is the correct address is essex, and postcode is for redhill (RH11).
i dont think a return address was put on the parcel, can i call the sorting office and ask them to change, or would they just cross out the postcode and deliver to essex (i put full address, with house number, street, and town / county)
Or should i call redhill, and if they have parcel can i ask them to do this for me? or would the item have been sent to essex already for correct posting?

Re: wrong postcode
Should be alright if it's got the right county, etc., though it might go through the mill a bit first.

Re: wrong postcode
It depends on the office, some may return the item as no such address in that area and send it back to sender, others, if they have enough staff will sort it to the missorts where it will be traced to the right address but this may take some time as we get 10's of thousands of these items a day.
