Now I cant fully blame my current postman for my mail woe's since I dont have 'A' current postman - I have many, often a different face each day of the week, which is a shame cos I simply cant afford to make that many christmas cakes
My woe's are.......
I bought a new house, the guy who I bought from paid for a mail redirection for a year - good job Royal Mail for redirecting MY mail to this guy as well HIS mail. I ring the local sorting office to alert them - wont happen again, but it does.
I complain to customer services over the phone - the promised response just doesnt materialise - no response at all.
I write to complain and finally get the response 'I have spoken to the delivery centre manager who assures me that your mail will be correctly redirected in future' ..... wait! no! stop!!!! I dont want you to redirect my mail, I didnt pay for redirection....did you even read my complaint???
Junk mail......
I know you get paid to deliver junk mail to me, but can anyone explain to me why I get the same junk mail 5 days in a row? An example is a free newspaper sent out by our county council monthly - I get the same newspaper from my postmen 5 days straight, Im guessing that means that there are 4 other houses who didnt get the free paper, the county council didnt get the delivery service it paid for (ie one paper per household) and I cant tell you how happy I am that ultimately it's me thats paying for the damn paper to be made, delivered and I get the pleasure of having to recycle junk that by rights should never have been pushed through my door
Lazy, lazy, lazy postie......
The one postie who refuses to walk 15 feet from the road to my door and insists on sticking my mail under the gate handle, from where it can be taken, rained on until it is ruined or just blown down the street . There are no obstacles, locked gates, steps, uneven ground, dogs, tigers or man eating children and as far as I can see....... no excuses
I didnt come here expecting any sort of resolution for my woe's...I came here to tell you how truely saddened I am that the once great Royal Mail is such a shockingly unreliable service provider and one, that while I do use, I would prefer not to use anymore
