Might not have been the postie as you don't give much detail. Scroats could have knicked it off a car and put it into your box as a "laff". Or if its yours and postie or someone else recognized it as yours but knew you had a dog they could have put in there as a neighbourly act.

Could even be a postie who knows you having a laugh but doubtful on a Saturday.

I am guessing that a driver (or reserve) who does not know your address as well as the usual walker tried to put it through the door, and then proceeded to have a tug of war with the dog :left:

Perhaps they did not notice the box on your wall, I missed a new one on my walk this week :d'oh! . He then did the right thing and left it as he should even if it was damaged. Hopefully his manager will be briefed and there will no trouble when you claim.

Bt of course that's just one thing that could have happened.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

The rest of the country just doesn't have time for that sort of carry on. :cuppa
