I posted a first class package, correctly addressed, postcode correct with senders address. I packed it in a box bought in the post office. It has been over a week now and the package has not arrived. I am so annoyed that this has happened I have never had a parcel just vanish. Where do these parcels go? How or where can I get any info about how this happens and where the parcel can be?
First class is hopefully delivered next or the day after but surely it does not take more than a week unless it is lost. Can anyone help?

Re: Missing package
could be the case that your package is still sat in the appropriate delivery office collecting dust. managers have been known to let packets stay in a delivery office for days rather than pay a postman to deliver them. sad but unfortunately very true

Re: Missing package
If there was nobody in at where you sent the parcel, they would have had a notice left to collect it/arrange re-delivery. It could be waiting for them to action.

Re: Missing package
box purchased in PO - just to check are you sure you sent it as a 1st Class Parcel/Packet or perhaps as a Standard Packet - A standard packet delivery is 3 - 5 working days a little longer than 1 -2 days.
A lot of people do get the standard and first class mixed up.

Re: Missing package
I wonder how many more parcels are lying in the sorting offices because the postman did not put a note through the door? Still I am happy with the outcome and my friend has her package.
Thanks for the help
A happy Jazzi
