Special Delivery says delivered but has not been

Hi,

On Friday someone sent my something next day SD, yesterday in the evening the item is showing as delivered online. The problem is it hasn't been, we haven't had any mail at all for 4 days.

My road only has four houses and none have had mail (or have taken delivery of my item) either. I don't mind going to the sorting office to collect it but i'm unsure what to do now because i have no idea where it may be (long trip to the sorting office).

Is it possible that the sorting office have signed for it? i'd rather not be on the phone to RM all day tmw and the local sorting office never picks up the phone.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated,

It looks like someone at the Delivery Office has pressed the wrong button, it should of had inaccessible put on the item, it would then be with you on the next available delivery date weather permitting. I would try to contact the local office if possible especially if conditions are bad, you would'nt want a wasted journey in this weather.

Thanks for the replies and sorry for the delayed update (forgot the web address of this site). It was at the sorting office and no real problems as I had to collect mail from there anyway, thanks again
